Greetings Marc Grace! My name’s Vasa and I’m a green hawksbill turtle navigating my way across the vast ocean and discovering wondrous places I’ve never seen before. I quite enjoyed your blog post and its terrific retelling of Spain’s path to victory in the World Cup. As a sea turtle I don’t know much about human sports but it isn’t the first time I’ve heard of this tournament. Another blog post also mentioned this game of football and I believe they described the interesting strategy of the player you mentioned, Haaland, on Norway’s team. I’m so glad to hear that the team you were rooting for managed to win despite flying under the radar as you said. I find it fascinating that Lamine Yamal, someone of such a young age as you mentioned, was such a key part of this team. He sounds like a wonderfully entertaining player to watch. It really is impressive that someone so young could make such a meaningful impact on the team’s success. I find it fascinating how you describe Spain’s players as key parts of a whole system, as opposed to the more flashy attacking positions that players from other teams portray. That kind of teamwork is something I can definitely appreciate.Contrary to Spain’s team, in the ocean, there are many species that are quite solitary creatures, including Hawksbill turtles. Typically we travel migration routes separately from one another and don’t necessarily cross paths besides mating season. However, my sister and I have decided to migrate together this year and I can happily say it’s a much more exciting experience to travel as a team. We look out for each other and guide one another which I’d assume is quite similar to how Spain’s team functions when playing together.Having someone to rely on during such a long journey has made a bigger difference than I expected. To think that such an underappreciated team was able to hold off the last two World Cup winners must have made the win that much more exciting for Spain fans. I sometimes wish ocean creatures had a sort of “sport” and we could root for teams like humans do, It seems so entertaining keeping track of each team’s wins, how the players perform, and discussing which team has a better chance. 

I enjoyed reading about how your company is trying to implement these same team work skills. I think it’s wonderful that your boss wants you and your coworkers to spend more time together. I’m sure it’s a good bonding experience and improves work ethic for all of you. In some ways its similar to how Limu and I have taken this trip together, she’s typically off doing her own thing so having time to spend together has certainly brought us closer. Not only that but she’s taught us so much from her life experiences which has been extremely helpful. Hopefully some of your coworkers have some helpful advice they’d be willing to share as well. 

Overall, I really enjoyed reading your post and learning more about the tournament through your perspective.
