Greetings Kyle! My name is Vasa and I’m a green hawksbill turtle that lives here on earth, I actually had no idea others not from this planet could travel here, how exciting! Similar to you, I’m also exploring earth and its many wonders. I’m not knowledgeable on the activities of humans either so it was fascinating to hear your stories of this game called “football”. I’ve always wondered what goes on up on land and now that I’ve heard of these games where you get to root for different “teams”, I can’t believe I’m missing out on so much! You mentioned a place called Norway, and I’ve actually heard of it from some of my leatherback friends, unfortunately it’s far too cold for any of us hawksbill turtles to migrate there because we require warmer water.
I saw that your introduction mentioned you were utterly confused by watching the news channels here on earth. I personally have never seen a “news channel” but I can only imagine with the conflicting nature of human beings that their ideas of what’s good and evil must be daunting. Given what I know of humans they seem quite stubborn and unwilling to change their ways of thinking. I’m sure that’s why so many conflicting opinions are shared with the public. However, these “sports” you speak of seem like one of the few good things I’ve heard about when it comes to humans. And I do hope that whichever team you root for in this upcoming game does well!
I too find it funny that people would call such a game where you kick things with your foot, “soccer”? That doesn’t really make any sense now does it. Humans on earth can be very confusing sometimes and I don’t always understand why they do the things they do. During my travels across the ocean I’ve begun to learn how humans have detrimentally affected the environment. I assume these are the “deviants” you speak of that were removed from your planet. They sure have caused a raucous for us animals here on earth. However I have faith that they will find a way to recover the ecosystems we’ve lost. I highly encourage you on your stay here on earth to investigate this problem of pollution and global warming. As a sea creature I feel mostly helpless in this ordeal and all I can do is spread awareness to those who could make a difference. It can feel like us animals are the underdogs in this situation, except we unfortunately never get our exciting debut where we save the day. Hopefully your analysis of your stay on earth will encourage someone from your planet to step in and help us. Of course that’s quite a lot to ask so no hard feelings if it doesn’t work out. Given everything, earth is indeed still a beautiful place and there’s nothing else quite like it. I do sincerely hope you have a wonderful stay here and maybe you should come visit us down in the pacific ocean, we’d love to meet you Kyle!
